Certificates and verification

Your certificate of completion, and how anyone can check it is genuine

Every course ends with a one-page PDF certificate. This page explains each detail it states, how learning hours are described, how an employer or colleague can verify it, and the independence statement printed on every copy.

How learning hours are stated

The hours on the certificate are the designed length of the course, about 2, 3 or 4 hours, covering the lessons, knowledge checks, reflection and final assessment. They are written as "approximately N learning hours" because people read at different speeds. The time you actually spent is recorded separately in the learning record in your course pack.

The authorities measure CPD in their own units: the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) counts CPD points, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH) counts one CPD credit per hour of engagement, and DHCR counts one point per hour. Those units come from accredited or recognised activities. Our certificate does not convert hours into points or credits, and it does not describe the course as Category 1 or Category 2 learning.

How to verify a certificate

  1. Scan the QR code on the certificate, or open the verification page and type the certificate number. Numbers use letters and digits only, with no letter O or I.
  2. A valid number shows the learner's name, the course title, the learning hours, the completion date and the final score, followed by the independence statement.
  3. If no match is found, check the number for typing errors. If it still fails, email us and we will check it by hand.

The verification page confirms completed certificates only. It is not listed in search engines, and it does not show courses that someone has bought but not finished.

The independence statement on every certificate

This wording is printed on every certificate and repeated on every verification result:

Healthcare Practise is an independent education provider. This course is not accredited by, and is not affiliated with, the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH), Sharjah Health Authority (SHA), Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA/DHCR) or Emirates Health Services (EHS), and no CME/CPD points or credits have been awarded by any of them. Whether this learning can be counted towards your licence renewal is decided solely by your licensing authority.

We use it because it is accurate. Each authority links renewal credit to accreditation or recognition; the DOH Standard for Continuing Professional Development, for example, accepts activities with accreditation from the DOH itself, a national accreditation body or an international accreditor on the DOH's recognised list. Our courses have none of those accreditations, so the certificate says so.

Keeping it in your portfolio

  • File it with your reflection. A certificate shows completion; your reflective account shows what changed in your practice. Keep them together.
  • Record it as what it is. Describe it as independent, self-directed learning. The DHA Manual for Licensing Healthcare Professionals warns that claiming fraudulent CPD leads to disciplinary action by the Medical Practice Committee.
  • Keep it available. The DOH CPD Standard asks professionals to keep a portfolio available for audit on request, which is good practice whichever authority licenses you.
  • Download it once, carefully. Each course certificate can be downloaded once, so save the PDF somewhere safe. If you lose it or your name was wrong, contact support.

Questions

Can my employer confirm my certificate without contacting you?

Yes. Anyone with the certificate can scan its QR code or enter the certificate number on our verification page. A valid number shows your name, the course, the learning hours, the completion date and your final score, so a clinic or HR team can check it in seconds without asking us.

Why does my certificate say learning hours rather than CPD points?

Because CPD points and credits are awarded through accreditation by an authority or a body it recognises, and our courses are not accredited by any UAE authority. Learning hours describe honestly how much structured, assessed study the course involves. Your licensing authority decides whether that learning counts.

Is my score shown to everyone who verifies the certificate?

Yes. Your final assessment score is printed on the certificate and shown on the verification result, because it is part of what the certificate certifies. Only someone who has your certificate number can see it; the verification page does not list or search certificates by name.
